Chef and popularizer of Ukrainian cuisine Yevhen Klopotenko impressed with an unexpected recipe. In his Instagram, he suggested cooking fried cucumbers.

Fried cucumbers

Ingredients:

  • 1.3 kilograms (approximately one can of 3 liters ) pickles;
  • 800 grams of pork;
  • 200 grams of carrots;
  • 1 large onion;
  • 4 tablespoons of oil or lard .

< strong>Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the cucumbers into 0.7-1 centimeter circles. Cover them with water and leave them overnight to get rid of excess saltiness.
  2. Take the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Cut the onion as desired: half rings or finely. Cut the meat into cubes approximately 1.5 by 1.5 centimeters.
  3. Heat the oven to 180 degrees. In a deep baking dish, lay out all the ingredients several times
  4. Fill the dish with water up to half of the dish, cover with foil. Stew the dish for 2-3 hours.
