Epic Games generously rewarded a player who was mistakenly banned from Fortnite

Fortnite has a very strict policy against violations and cheating. Epic Games, the game's developer, strictly monitors compliance with the rules and issues bans to anyone who intentionally uses bugs, cheats, and loopholes. But sometimes the security system malfunctions. Yes, one of the players was banned for almost a month for no reason.

Generous compensation

A 28-day ban is the minimum period for which players can lose access to the game if they are caught committing violations such as teaming. This is exactly the restriction that the user received as a result of an incomprehensible error, which Epic Games quickly acknowledged and corrected, reports 24 Kanal with reference to Dexerto.

The company sent an email to the wrongly blocked player, in which it stated: “We mistakenly took action against your account. We have canceled this action and credited 2,000 V-bucks to your Fortnite account as compensation for the error, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

V-bucks – is the in-game currency of Fortnite, which can be spent on purchasing various items for the royal battle.

The player shared his unexpected cash boost on Reddit, joking that for 2,000 V-bucks he was ready to get banned at any time.

Other Fortnite players joined the discussion, joking that Epic had sent him on paid leave or jokingly asking the company to ban him for himself to replenish his own wallet. It is worth noting that 2,000 V-bucks, as written in the comments, is about 18 pounds sterling, or one skin or two battle passes.

It is not uncommon for Epic Games to give out compensation for its own mistakes. Previously, it gave out refunds to everyone who bought the “rarest skin” in the store because it was accidentally released and then recalled.
