Elon Musk under fire: H-1B visa controversy gains momentum

Elon Musk has come under fire on his own social network X over the controversy surrounding H-1B work visas. Radical Republicans have accused him of hiring foreigners and refusing to support the anti-immigration MAGA policy.

This was reported by NBC.

Elon Musk has found himself at the center of a high-profile scandal, this time involving his own social network X (formerly Twitter). It all started with a discussion about H-1B work visas, which allow American companies to hire qualified foreign specialists. Radical supporters of the Republican Party (MAGA) have opposed this program, calling for its abolition.

In their opinion, H-1B visas take jobs away from Americans. Musk, who actively uses this program to hire workers, including from India, has come under a barrage of criticism. He was accused of hiring foreign specialists on this visa and paying them half the market wage.

In response, Musk began deleting accounts of MAGA critics on his social network, depriving them of monetization and even blue verification ticks. Far-right activists, including Laura Loomer, were among the “victims”. Her accusations of “retaliation” from Musk only added fuel to the fire.

The situation escalated when Musk reportedly created a fake account and conducted a voiceover on X with an altered voice. In it, he stated that MAGA supporters should be grateful for the opportunity to express themselves on the social network. In addition, Musk left comments under his own tweets from the fake account, praising himself.

Now, Musk has become the object of cancellation among the far-right, who were his active audience. Radical users reproach Musk for hypocrisy. They believe that he uses the social network to promote his interests and suppress criticism.
