American billionaire Elon Musk, who publicly supported the British Eurosceptic party Reform UK, called for the resignation of its leader Nigel Farage.
This, according to “European Truth”, is reported in a Sky News publication.
On his social network X (Twitter), Musk wrote that Reform UK “needs a new leader” and Farage “does not have the necessary skills”.
The American billionaire did not specify what caused him to criticize Farage, with whom he had recently met to discuss the prospects of funding for Reform UK.
But the two have recently fallen out over their stance on far-right British activist Tommy Robinson, who was jailed for violating a court order related to defamatory statements about a Syrian refugee schoolboy.
While Musk has openly called for Robinson's release, Farage recently said that the imprisoned activist – “is not who we need”. In 2018, the politician left the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) due to the decision of its then leader to hire Robinson as an advisor.
Only recently, Musk wrote that only Reform UK can save Britain, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer must resign.
