Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero: This Element of the Game Divides Fans

While Dragon Ball fans were finally able to see Goku and company again in the new anime Dragon Ball DAIMA, they were also able to discover this week a brand new video game, called DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. A new game that was awaited by many, but which was also criticized on one point in particular. We tell you everything.

A real flaw for the latest Dragon Ball game?

October 11, 2024 was undoubtedly the day of Saiyan fans, since as mentioned above, they were finally able to discover the first episode of the anime Dragon Ball DAIMA, as well as a new video game. The latter was expected by many, because as announced by Bandai Namco, “DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO takes up the frantic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series”, which remains one of the most popular game series in the franchise to this day.

A new Dragon Ball gamewhich was generally well received by critics, receiving a score of 16/20 on JVC, 9/10 on IGN and Gameblog or 19/20 on JeuxActu. It should be noted, however, that some are a little less enthusiastic about it, like Gamekult which gave it a score of 6/10.

And among the elements that are lacking in Sparking! ZERO, there is one point in particular that has been singled out, namely the tutorial. This is what Cael explains in his test for Gamekult, explaining that the tutorial is “far from sufficient” and that it suffers from “serious ergonomic issues”. He describes it as being “a series of incomplete descriptions with the possibility of quickly trying out the techniques covered, but in a rather un-educational way”.

A problem that has also been raised by fans, like this user on X/Twitter who, despite his praise for the gameplay and graphics, already criticized the tutorial for Sparking! ZERO even before the official release of the latest Dragon Ball game.

Gonna go to bed but early thoughts on Sparking Zero:

– Gameplay is SUPER fun
-The game looks gorgeous
-The tutorial is dogshit, and even the advanced tutorial is really poorly implemented.
-Story feels really difficult right away (hard is fine, but you should work up to it)

I I'm going to bed but here are my first thoughts on Sparking Zero:

– The gameplay is SUPER fun
– The game is beautiful
– The tutorial sucks, and the same advanced tutorial is really poorly implemented
– The story seems really difficult from the start (difficult is good, but you have to get used to it)

And to continue on the same theme, find out who this boss is from Sparking! Zero who is considered a real pain by players.
