Dragon Ball Daima: the official synopsis of the first episode promises a crazy series

The Dragon Ball license is about to make its big comeback in a new series: Dragon Ball Daima. Expected in October, the first episode of this new DBZ series has just revealed its official synopsis. And it promises to be crazy.

What is Dragon Ball Daima?

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the creation of Dragon Ball, Toei Animation has decided to produce a brand new series: Dragon Ball Daima. While the first episode is expected on October 11, Dragon Ball Daima should take up certain elements of Dragon Ball GT(yes, this is not supposed to reassure us…). As in Dragon Ball GT, the flagship characters of the Dragon Ball license (Goku and Vegeta in the lead) will mysteriously be rejuvenated.

Although Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st, according to Toei Animation, Goku's father was involved in the development of Dragon Ball Daima. He would have participated in the development of the scenario and the design of several characters. If, for the moment, no official synopsis has been revealed concerning the plot of the series as a whole, we know more about the first episode.

A synopsis for the first episode

Shortly before his death, Akira Toriyama had dropped some clues concerning the plot of Dragon Ball Daima, while remaining very evasive. He had notably declared that:

Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends have become small. In order to fix things, they will head to a new world. It is an epic, action-packed adventure in a new, unknown and mysterious world. The various images that have been transmitted by Toei Animation confirm that Goku and his friends will go to the Demon Realm. An area that has been very little explored in the Dragon Ball universe except in the spin-off series Dragon Ball Heroes and in some video games. Apparently, Goku will enter a race against time against the demon Supreme Kais, who has also been shrunk:

Goku and Supreme Kais, have been shrunk by a conspiracy. They will both participate, with new characters like Glorio and Panzy, in an exciting adventure in the Demon Realm. In addition, the first trailers reveal that new characters will be introduced for the first time.

We don't know much more in the end. But Crunchyroll recently revealed a short synopsis for the first episode of Dragon Ball Daima:

Goku and his friends were living a peaceful life when they were suddenly shrunk due to a conspiracy. When they discover that the reason may lie in a world called the Demon Realm, a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them.

We don't really know who this Glorio is, but he could be the key element of this new series. The first episode of Dragon Ball Daima, which will still last 40 minutes, will be broadcast on Crunchyroll on October 11.
