Disable these three settings on your smartphone: they can track you

A mobile phone performs many functions: from communication to entertainment and work. It serves as a means of communication, an alarm clock, a navigator, a gaming platform and an electronic library.

However, a smartphone can be dangerous and turn into a surveillance tool in the hands of attackers. Offenders are able to remotely obtain a significant amount of personal information.

How to protect yourself? The solution is simple: follow basic cybersecurity rules and monitor your device settings.

  1. Geolocation: turn it on only when absolutely necessary, otherwise attackers will be able to track your location.
  2. Wi-Fi: make it a good habit – Always turn off network scanning after you finish browsing the Internet. Constant scanning can give criminals access to your device.
  3. Bluetooth: use wireless technology only for its intended purpose. As soon as you stop using your headphones – turn off Bluetooth immediately.
