DC: This Marvel Actress Would Be the Perfect Actress to Play Catwoman

Marvel is rubbing its hands with Deadpool & Wolverine. The latest Marvel Studios production continues to rise at the box office and nothing seems to be able to stop it. After breaking the record for the highest grossing R-rated film in history, which was until now held by The Joker, the film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has managed to enter this very exclusive club. And yet, one of its actresses does not hide her intention to turn to the competition. And the fans are unanimous: she would be perfect as Catwoman.

Indeed, even if she is currently starring in the current hit produced by Marvel Studios, Deadpool & Wolverine not to mention it, this actress who shares the screen with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has never hidden her desire to play the role of a villain and not just any villain: a villain from the competition, namely DC. The actress in question is none other than Morena Baccarin who plays the role of Vanessa Carlysle, Wade Wilson's girlfriend.

At the recent FAN EXPO Canada, Morena Baccarin caused a stir whenshe announced that she would dream of playing a villain in James Gunn's DC universe. She even declared that she would love to bring Catwoman to life on screen. A role that was most recently played by Zoe Kravitz in The Batman.

So, it was after this statement by the actress that a fan named Nikolai Baslajik known by the pseudonym BossLogic, decided to create an image to imagine Morena Baccarin as Catwoman. The result is incredible and many fans of the actress consider her the perfect candidate for this role. We let you discover the image below.

This is not the first time that Morena Baccarin has shown her interest in the role of Catwoman. Already in 2018 during an interview with Cinepop, she had admitted that her biggest dream was to play the female version of James Bond and that on the of the superhero genre, she identified herself as “more to the bad guys, to Poison Ivy and Catwoman“. The actress had already made an incursion into the Batman universe by playing Leslie Thompkins, the GCPD medical examiner in the television series Gotham.

It remains to be seen whether James Gunn will hear Baccarin's call if a project to bring Catwoman back to the cinema is in the pipeline for the DCU.
