DC: Terrifier star would like to see this actor play the Joker

While Joker: Folie à Deux is not a box office success, David Horward Thronton, who is currently starring in Terrifier 3 in theaters, has reprised his role as Art the Clown. He shared in a recent interview his idea of ​​the ideal actor who could reprise the role of the Clown Prince of Crime in a future DC project.

Faced with its success, Warner decided to put a sequel into production with Joker: Folie à Deuxbut it's a disaster. At the same time, there is another film that has been the talk of the town for a few days: Terrifier 3. Indeed, Art the Clown, whom the public was able to discover in 2008 in the short film The 9th Circle then in All Hallows' Eve in 2013 and in the first two installments of the Terrifier franchise, has been back in theaters since October 9. If this third episode is making headlines, it's because it is banned to under 18s, a fairly rare decision for a film. The last time a film had this ban dates back to 2006 with the horror film Saw 3.

Terrifier actor unconditional fan of the Joker

Still, the one who plays Art the Clown, David Howard Thornton, has just given an interview to Total Film in which he shared his thoughts on the DC universe. The actor even went so far as to reveal which actor he imagines reprising the role of the Joker in a future DC project. Without hiding, he admitted that he is a die-hard fan of Batman's enemy:

The Joker is my all-time favorite villain and he's a character I'd love to play myself someday. So I hope someone like James Gunn gives me the opportunity to tackle that character because I'd love to do a lot of fun stuff with him.

Let's face it, Thornton's performance as Art the Clown is excellent and if he were to play the Joker, he would bring something interesting.

But it seems unlikely that Gunn will call on him for fear that the public will have difficulty distinguishing the two clowns. For the moment, DC has not announced a new project around Batman's enemy.
