Daredevil Born Again: Marvel Dates Matt Murdock's Return to Disney+

It was in May 2022 that Disney announced that the series Daredevil: Born Again would be available on its streaming service. While we were waiting to know the exact date we would have the chance to discover this new live-action series featuring Matt Murdock, it is now done, Marvel has just officially revealed the date of Daredevil's return to television.

Daredevil: Born Again, a violent series on Disney+

Çit's been a while since we were waiting to know the exact release date of the second live-action series featuring Daredevil after the Netflix series that aired in 2015 and kept audiences in suspense for three seasons. Marvel Studios had not addressed the issue at San Diego Comic Con or D23. It took until New York Comic Con for the two stars of the show to make the announcement during a panel dedicated to Daredevil: Born Again.

As a reminder, it was not obvious for Kevin Feige to know when exactly to propose the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. The series had been filmed in part before the writers' strike. It had then been presented in the form of a classic police series that had not really appealed to Kevin Feige. After the social movement in Hollywood, the series continues its development under the direction of a new screenwriter in the person of Dario Scardapane. For the return of Daredevil, and after the success of Deadpool & Wolverine, the first MCU film to be rated R, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum has announced that the new series will be even more violent than the one airing on Netflix. Thus, the miniseries will be rated TV-MA which means it is considered inappropriate for viewers under 17.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio announce the exact broadcast date of Daredevil: Born Again

Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, the actor who plays Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin, were therefore on hand at the New York Comic Con and announced their return to the small screen by revealing the exact broadcast date of Daredevil: Born Again: March 4, 2025. A date that falls exactly right between Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*.

Note that the official synopsis has been confirmed. The series will feature the Mayor Fisk storyline. Unsurprisingly, if you've seen the series Echo, the Kingpin who will be a candidate for mayor of New York. Finally, a new trailer was released at NYCC. Some spectators present on site filmed and shared the trailer on social networks.
