However, this year's celebration of charity was overshadowed by threats that Jurek Owsiak received.

Although WOŚP has a huge group of supporters who support the orchestra in various ways, there is no shortage of people who express open dislike both towards Owsiak and the activities of WOŚP. The critics include many right-wing stations that continue to smear Owsiak.

It seems that Owsiak's opponents also include the wife of the disco polo king. This is evidenced by a post posted by Danuta Martyniuk on social media.

Zenek Martyniuk's wife posted a post about Marek Kotański, which contrasts him with a „millionaire in red pants”. For many people, these words bring to mind only one person – Jurek Owsiak.

„Marek Kotański – he helped the poor and addicted, the homeless and drug addicts without taking any money for it. He was the opposite of a millionaire…..in red pants. He lived modestly, passed away at the age of 60, leaving behind a small apartment… A great man, whom so many young people today do not remember, and this WZÓR is worth emulating! (…) He did not make a ''celebrity'' of himself– you can read in the aforementioned entry.
