Conquering the world. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has become one of the most popular games in the US

In the first days after its release, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, developed by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, entered the top five most popular games for PC and Xbox in the USA.

The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl took place on November 20 on PC and Xbox Series X|S, at the same time the game became available as a subscription to the Game Pass service. Data from the analytical agency Circana, covering the week ending November 23, showed that in the first days after its release, the game was one of the most popular in the United States of America on both PC and Xbox consoles.

Among Xbox games, the Ukrainian game took fourth place, losing to Call of Duty HQ, Fortnite, and Roblox. On Steam, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was surpassed only by Counter-Strike 2 and Call of Duty HQ.

Interestingly, all the games that surpassed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl that week, are multiplayer, and among single-player games it was the undisputed leader.

Recall that the week before last, the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World overtook Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 and became the most profitable game on Steam. This week, the game dropped to 10th place. At its peak, the game attracted 121 thousand simultaneous players.
