The pre-trial investigation into the 17-year-old boy, who is accused of committing and preparing sabotage, has been completed.

The accused committed a series of arson attacks on Ukrzaliznytsia relay cabinets in the Lozovsky district. The young man, who was offered to “earn extra money” via messenger, was recruited by Russian special services to destabilize the situation in the region. According to the instructions, the arsonist was supposed to send photos of the destroyed objects as proof of completing the task. During another arson attempt, he was detained by law enforcement officers.

“The young man is awaiting trial while in custody. He will be tried in the Lozov City District Court of the Kharkiv Region. The accused faces life imprisonment,” the report says.
