King Charles III of Great Britain will temporarily pause his cancer treatment. The monarch's doctors have given permission for a short break in the course of therapy so that he can make a planned trip to Australia and Samoa, writes the Daily Mail.

The 75-year-old monarch's trip will begin on October 18. First, Charles will visit Sydney and Canberra, and then make a state visit to Samoa, where he will take part in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit (CHOGM).

According to sources, doctors have allowed the king to continue treatment until the moment of departure. They also note that the temporary break will not harm his health. The very fact that the monarch decided to travel almost 50 thousand km is evidence of his dedication to duty even in difficult times, insiders add.

Although Buckingham Palace refrained from commenting, it is known that the king will be accompanied by a doctor during the visit, which is standard practice for the head of state. There is information that the program of the visit was carefully planned taking into account the king's health, so as not to overload him during the trip.

The visit to Australia is the first official trip of Charles III as head of state since ascending to the throne, as well as his first participation in the CHOGM summit as head of the Commonwealth. King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to take part in dozens of events during the 11-day visit. They will have only one day to rest.
