Caught in a camera trap, then fled across a field from border guards: footage of the chase after the violators

The other day, border guards from the Chernivtsi detachment detained violators who were trying to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The movement of two unknown persons heading towards the state border under cover of night was recorded by a camera trap.

This was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine on December 24.

A response team immediately arrived at the scene, accompanied by an unmanned aerial vehicle operator, who used a drone to determine the location of the unknown persons and track their direction of movement.

The detainees were residents of Chernivtsi region aged 29 and 34 years.

«The offenders were taken to the unit to clarify the circumstances and draw up administrative materials under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses „Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine“», — the report says.
