Cannabis was sold over the Internet: a criminal group was exposed in the Lviv region, which sold goods worth UAH 2 million every month

The Lviv region police exposed a group of criminals who organized large-scale production and sale of cannabis.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the communications department of the National Police.

The activities of drug laboratories were established in the Lviv and Ternopil regions, and sales were carried out throughout Ukraine.

As noted, the organizer The scheme turned out to be a resident of Lviv, who involved local residents and one resident of Cherkasy in the illegal business. The group used special equipment for artificial cultivation of cannabis and sold the finished product via the Internet.

Law enforcement officers documented the drug distribution network, exposed online ordering schemes, and identified the so-called “containers” – individuals who stored cannabis for further sale.

During a large-scale special operation, searches were conducted in four regions, during which the following were seized:

  • over 30 kg of cannabis and 400 cannabis plants;
  • hallucinogenic mushrooms;
  • equipment for growing and packaging drugs;
  • draft notes and mobile phones;
  • over 442 thousand UAH, 18.3 thousand US dollars and 6 thousand euros.

The perpetrators were informed of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular regarding the creation of a criminal organization and illegal drug trafficking. They face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
