When we presented you with our top of the Dark Knight's best adversaries, there was one name that came right at the top of the list, and it was of course the Joker. Indeed, the famous Clown Prince is undoubtedly one of Batman's most iconic enemies, if not one of the most popular supervillains in the entire DC universe.

And while fans will soon be able to see the Gotham City vigilante's sworn enemy again in Joker: Folie à Deux with the return of Joaquin Phoenix in the title role and the arrival of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, the two villains will also be back in the sequel to another project.

Indeed, the duo will also be present in the next film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League. Announced in May of this year, this is a brand new animated film following 2018's Batman Ninja, which was revealed with a first teaser in July.

And while the first posters have already given us a glimpse of some of the Justice League members, such as Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Flash, in feudal Japan, fans were recently able to discover Harley Quinn and the Joker in another very Japanese style, at the same time. namely that of the Yankii.

The Yankii (which comes from the American term Yankee) is an expression that refers in a rather pejorative way to young Japanese delinquents, often designating adolescents who tend to fight and who sport very particular clothing styles.

Concerning Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, it is Wataru Takagi and Rie Kugimiya who will play the Joker and Harley Quinn respectively, thus taking up the roles they had already in the first film of 2018.
