Azerbaijan expels Kremlin's main propaganda organization from the country

The Azerbaijani authorities have officially notified Russia of the termination of the activities of the federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo on its territory. This was reported by the Report edition, citing sources familiar with the situation.

According to them, Baku continues its policy of protecting national interests and does not intend to tolerate external interference in the country's internal affairs.

“Azerbaijan is a donor and does not need external assistance, especially if it is based on opaque schemes and has signs of intelligence activities,” — sources note.

As the Minval publication writes, on the eve Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies took control of the building of the “Russian House” in Baku – the headquarters of Rossotrudnichestvo in the country. As it turned out, the organization did not have proper registration in Azerbaijan. Why it was allowed to work without the appropriate permit – is a separate issue that requires careful consideration, Minval reports.
