Australian EOS combat modules appeared on Ukrainian armored personnel carriers. What is known about them

Ukrainian YPR-765 armored personnel carriers were armed with combat modules of the Australian company Electro Optic Systems (EOS).

Electro Optic Systems

EOS combat modules the manufacturer characterizes as systems designed to ensure greater accuracy of firing under any conditions, as well as crew safety.

The company offers several combat modules in a configuration with different weapons. Thanks to their ultra-lightweight design, they can be mounted on a variety of vehicles and platforms, including light vehicles.

The most prominent combat module, the EOS R400, can be equipped with a light machine gun, a 12-gauge machine gun, 7-mm, automatic 40-mm grenade launcher or light 30-mm ATK M230 LF gun. It is equipped with a thermal sight with a target detection distance of up to 5 kilometers.

Also the company offers a heavier version of the EOS R800, which is equipped with a 30mm Bushmaster Mk.44 autocannon. This module is considered a system for heavy wheeled and tracked combat vehicles.

According to the manufacturer, the module weighs three times less than its counterparts and provides fire with high accuracy. In addition to the gun, a 7.62 caliber light machine gun and Javelin anti-tank guided missiles can also be integrated into the combat module.
