Audi presented its most powerful crossover RS Q8 Performance

Audi/UkrAvtoprom < p>Audi has updated the Audi RS Q8 and revealed its new flagship RS Q8 Performance version. The power of this novelty is 640 hp. Therefore, this is the new most powerful crossover in the automaker's lineup.

The car accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, which is faster than almost all competitors. The cost, however, will also be considerable. UkrAvtoprom writes about this.

The design of the car is almost identical to the recently updated Q8. Only the grilles have been changed, and there are also gloss black body elements such as the side mirrors, rear diffuser and front splitter. The line includes three new metallic coating options: Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue and Chili Red.

Crossovers are offered with 22-inch wheels, but customers can optionally install 23-inch alloy wheels with a Y-shaped pattern and ceramic brakes. The driver will receive all the necessary information thanks to the new 12.3 digital instrument panel. It has an indicator for shifting gears in manual mode.

But the main changes are still under the hood. There is a luxurious 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. RS Q8 Performance has a power of 640 hp, which allows it to accelerate to the first hundred in 3.6 seconds.

Cars have quattro all-wheel drive, air suspension, center differential with self-locking and eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, and the RS Q8 Performance also has a lightweight exhaust system that can be optionally replaced with an RS sports exhaust system.

In addition, crossovers have electromechanical active roll stabilization, which works from two small electric motors that minimize tilt of the body during maneuvers. The braking system is massive 420mm discs up front with 10-piston calipers and 370mm discs at the back.

The crossovers will reportedly go on sale in June. The price will start at 142,000 euros for the RS Q8 and 155,700 euros for the RS Q8 Performance.
