At least nine “Shaheeds” flew into Belarus at night – Gayun

On the night of January 28, at least nine Russian kamikaze drones of the «Shahed» type flew into Belarus from Ukraine, one of them was probably shot down near Mozyr.

This was reported by the monitoring group «Belaruski Gayun» in Telegram.

It is noted that the drones were heading towards Loyev, Narovlya, Mozyr, Gomel and entered the «Belarusian corridor».

The first «Shahed» flew in at 23:54 heading towards Loyev. Further actions were at 00:24, 00:39, 00:42 (three drones), 01:00 (two drones) and 01:28. The drone, which flew in at 00:39 over the village of Yasenok (Narovlya district), then continued its movement towards Narovlya and Mozyr.

«Around 00:55 an explosion was heard in the Mozyr district, which could be the launch of an air defense missile, and already at 00:58 it was reported that «Shahed» was no longer being recorded. At the moment, everything indicates that last night «Shahed» was shot down by air defense forces near Mozyr», – the monitoring group writes.

«Belaruski Gayun» notes that at night Euroradio journalists called the operational-duty service of the Mozyr district department of internal affairs (RDI), where they were told that «everything is under control». Another service employee said that «he will not explain anything».

It is also noted that the aircraft of the Belarusian Air Force did not take off at night.
