Apple rejected Samsung's offer, considering its iPhone displays too expensive

Samsung Display offered Apple to supply panels for the iPhone SE 4 at $30 each. But Apple recognized this price as too high and, as gizmochina writes, rejected this offer.

As a result, Samsung withdrew from the negotiation process. The Cupertino-based company is reportedly looking for a more economical option at $25 per panel. At the same time, Apple is negotiating with the Chinese manufacturer BOE to meet its needs in the production of displays. Apple's desire to save costs on its budget iPhone SE line is understandable, since displays are among the most expensive components of smartphones.

In addition, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature Face ID, an improved main camera by 48 MP and a faster platform. However, a change in display suppliers could potentially affect production schedules or the final retail price of the device.

Apple is rumored to be planning to release 15 million iPhone SE 4 smartphones in 2025.
