Apple has found a supplier of displays for the new iPhone SE smartphone

According to new reports from reliable sources, BOE is likely to be responsible for supplying the displays for the iPhone SE 4. The company will supply most, if not all, of the 6 ,1-inch OLED panels for the upcoming iPhone SE 4. According to reports, Samsung has dropped out of the race due to Apple's low price per panel. In such a competition, BOE found an agreement with Apple and will supply most of the displays.

According to the report, one 6.1-inch OLED display costs about $30 from Samsung. Apple, however, offered $25. At most, the same source suggests that this price is lower than even what Chinese manufacturers are asking for the display. After Samsung, BOE and Tianma left the deal. As previously reported, these three companies were fighting for the supply of displays. BOE now holds the largest stake as Samsung did not invest in the deal due to low profitability. So when Apple asked for an even lower unit price, Samsung stopped negotiating.

The latest reports on the iPhone SE 4 came last month from TheElec. According to the popular publication, the iPhone SE 4 will appear in 2025 with an OLED screen. It will have a notch design and will retain the design from the iPhone 14. The 2025 iPhone SE will have a 6.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels. The panel will also have a peak brightness of 1200 nits and Ceramic Shield glass on top. It's worth noting that Apple has to take some cost-cutting measures to make it more affordable than regular iPhones.
