Apple announced a new super-powerful iPad mini without much fanfare

The new compact is mostly distinguished by improved characteristics. The design has remained unchanged.

Apple has updated the iPad mini for the first time in three years. The compact tablet got an A17 Pro processor with AI capabilities of Apple Intelligence, but remained in the usual design.

According to Apple's statements, the iPad mini 7 was 30% faster than the sixth generation, and twice as fast in tasks , related to AI and machine learning.

In addition, the updated iPad mini for the first time received support for Apple Pencil Pro – of the company's flagship stylus, which is equipped with a vibration motor, is compatible with “Locator” and received a double-click gesture to quickly switch between on-screen tools.

A choice of four colors – purple, blue, gray and gold. Price in the USA – from $499 (~20,000 UAH) for 128 GB. The top version with 512 GB will cost $799 (~33,000 UAH). The price tags are for Wi-Fi versions, models with LTE cost $100 more.

On sale – from October 23.

Apple should also announce the first M4-based Mac computers by the end of the year. According to information Bloomberg, Mac mini M4 will be the only one of the company's future computers that will receive noticeable changes in design.

Almost everything is already known about Apple's first presentation in 2025. It will present the MacBook Air with the M4 processor, the iPad Air and the new  affordable iPhone SE, the characteristics of which will please even Android users.
