Anxious suitcase of a schoolboy: a list of must-haves

>>/Ternopil State Administration

This school year started again under martial law. Depending on the security situation, some schoolchildren will study traditionally at school desks, and some will study remotely from laptops. Therefore, Radio Maximum tells what to pack in a suitcase.

According to the recommendations of the National Police of Ukraine, a schoolboy's emergency backpack should always contain:

  • a bottle of drinking water water;
  • nutritional bars or snacks (cereal bars or dried fruits);
  • a note containing the child's full name, parents' contact information (names, phone numbers, addresses);
  • phone and charged device;
  • individual medicine kit;
  • kit a change of underwear and clothes;
  • a favorite toy (this will help the child calm down in the shelter).

A schoolboy's shoulder bag should not be overloaded. Most of the essentials should be kept at the school – food, water, hygiene products, blankets, flashlights, universal first aid kit, etc., the educational institution should take care of all this. The teacher should prepare an anxiety bag for his class. Instead, parents' committees are recommended to take responsibility for the alarming suitcases of schoolchildren.

In a situation of danger and a military attack, in order to preserve the health and life of children, they should be quickly evacuated to a safe place – to the nearest bomb shelter, basement or other shelter, or outside. It is impossible to predict how long children and employees of an educational institution will have to stay in a shelter, therefore it is extremely important that the educational institution has a minimum set to ensure the daily needs of children and employees, – emphasized the Education Ombudsman of Ukraine, Serhiy Gorbachev.

The teacher should prepare his anxiety suitcase for the children. It should contain a hardcover notebook, a pencil and a pen. Be sure to put the lantern and batteries next to it. You need to take care of the supply of water and a first-aid kit, stock up on masks, as well as:

  • toilet paper, wet wipes, antiseptic;
  • radio + batteries;
  • thermal blankets;
  • oilcloth; garbage bags;
  • whistle;
  • rope, scissors;
  • markers;
  • energy bars for all children;
  • power bank;
  • bucket.

In some countries, the presence of such a backpack in classes is mandatory. For Ukrainians, this is the first such experience.
