Another new button will appear in the iPhone 17 Pro smartphone

Apple will continue to add new keys to the bodies of its smartphones to emphasize the differences of the new models.

The new control element will be located from above on the left side and will replace the Action Button and the physical volume rocker. It will work according to a principle similar to Camera Control from the new iPhone 16, says insider Majin Bu.

The new key will be universal and customizable, and it will also replace the volume rocker and Action Button. And in the future, it will acquire a wider functionality for controlling the smartphone.

It is known that the key will appear only in the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

It is noted that the iPhone 2025 will be the most interesting model close in the next few years. With the release of the iPhone 17, the cameras will be significantly updated, in particular the front camera, the basic models will switch to 120-hertz screens, and the Pro models will receive an increased amount of RAM up to 12 GB.

Another reason to wait for the iPhone in 2025 – this is the mysterious iPhone Air. According to information, Apple is going to remove the iPhone Plus from the model range, replacing it with an ultra-thin version. The redesign of this iPhone may be as important as the release of the iPhone X.

Steve Jobs's dream of a button-less iPhone is getting farther from being realized. In the last couple of years, Apple has observed a reverse trend – an increase in the number of buttons on smartphones. In 2023, the company replaced the iconic silent mode lever for the first time, and this year added a new Camera Control button to the iPhone 16.
