Another knife attack in a shopping mall. Latest news about injured people

In the heart of Olkusz, in the Shopping Center on Rabsztyńska Street, tragic events took place that shocked the local community.

In just a few days, there were two brutal attacks using a sharp instrument, which raised concerns among residents and attracted the attention of media.

The first incident took place on January 27, when a 60-year-old man was attacked by a knife-wielding man. According to witnesses, the perpetrator stabbed him several times with a sharp instrument. Fortunately, the injured man did not suffer serious injuries and his life is not in danger. However, this dramatic attack caused panic and fear among the mall's customers.

A repeat of the attack

Unfortunately, the situation has worsened. Shortly after the first attack, another incident occurred – this time four people required medical assistance on site. According to Polsat News, the victims were three women and a shopping mall security guard. This new information confirms the growing problem of violence in public spaces.

Emergency services and the police intervened at the scene. Captain Michał Bielach from the State Fire Service in Olkusz reported: “Four people were provided with assistance on site.” The police quickly took action to identify the perpetrator of these brutal attacks.

A 23-year-old man was detained, who is most likely the person wanted since the first incident. What's more, according to information from Interia, the detainee is the son of a policeman – this fact further complicates the whole situation and raises many questions about the motivation of the perpetrator's actions.

The motive of the knife-man remains unknown, and the police are conducting an intensive investigation to explain the circumstances of both attacks. Katarzyna Cisło from the Małopolska police stated: “Actions will be carried out on him. I think that in a few hours we will know whether this 23-year-old man is also the perpetrator of yesterday's attack and attempted murder.

These dramatic events remind us of the fragility of security in public places and the need for increased protection for all citizens. The residents of Olkusz are shocked by these brutal acts of violence and expect swift responses from law enforcement.
