Google has introduced new features to combat unwanted Bluetooth trackers in the Android operating system. Now users can temporarily pause the transmission of their location data to Bluetooth trackers for 24 hours using the “Temporary Location Pause” feature. In addition, the “Find Nearby” feature allows you to quickly determine the location of an unknown tracker nearby.
These updates are part of Google's initiative to improve user safety. The company previously announced a collaboration with Apple to develop standards to protect against unwanted tracking using Bluetooth trackers. The new tools work with trackers that are compatible with the Find My Device service.
Google said it would continue to improve features to protect user privacy and prevent unwanted tracking.
