German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz met with UAF president Andriy Shevchenko before the start of the football match. He received a Ukrainian national team t-shirt from the ex-football player as a gift.

On Monday, June 3, a friendly match took place in which the national teams of Germany and Ukraine played to a draw – 0:0. The match aroused interest not only among German and Ukrainian fans. VIP guests also visited Max Morlock Arena. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was among them.
Before the game, the head of the German government met with UAF head Andriy Shevchenko. As a sign of friendship between the countries, Scholz received a Ukraine national team game shirt from our legend.
Let us remind you that after the friendly match with the Germans, Serhiy Rebrov's wards will play two more sparring matches before Euro-2024. Already on June 7, Ukraine will visit Poland, and on the 11th – to Moldova.
At Euro-2024 itself, our team got into group E. The opponents of the “blue and yellow” will be Romania (June 17), Slovakia (June 21) and Belgium (June 26).
