The system blocks chemical and biological pollutants, which allows year-round extraction of water from the air, even in arid and desert areas. At the moment, the technology is capable of producing about 1,000 liters of water per day. The technology is characterized by low energy consumption, which is an important factor for such innovations.

The startup H2OLL began as a project of two professors of the Technion in Haifa – Eran Friedler and David Broday. They were later joined by Dr. Khalid Gomed, writes the site nocamels.com.

The H2OLL team also launched a crowdfunding campaign and has already collected more than four million shekels. The project is seeking funding to enter the international market, to ensure the use of technology using solar energy and to develop a system that will produce about 10,000 liters of water per day.
