Young Ukrainian gymnast Sasha Pascal learned to live with a prosthesis and continues to reach new heights. We will remind you that she lost her leg as a result of an enemy attack by the Russian Federation in May 2022.
After the injury, the girl did not stop playing sports and taking part in gymnastics competitions. All Ukrainians admire her indomitability and courage.
On May 16, 2022, a Russian missile hit the building in the Odesa region, where Sasha was with her mother. Rescuers found the girl under the rubble. She was unconscious.
According to Maria's mother, the girl was in a coma for about 15 days. Debris from an enemy rocket mutilated the girl's arm, and her leg had to be amputated.
< p>Despite her grave condition, Sasha was most worried about whether she would be able to return to her life's work – rhythmic gymnastics. It turned out that perseverance and the desire for sports were stronger than the injury.

The girl actively trained, got used to the new condition and tried to be happy. In the first half of 2023, Sasha Pascal took first place with a solo number at the gymnastics championship in Chornomorsk, Odesa region.
TV channel TET invited the young gymnast to participate in the first edition of the project “Ukraine of incredible people”.
