AI is being integrated into various spheres of life: the Ministry of Digital Affairs has already launched a center of excellence

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine presented the WINWIN AI Center of Excellence — a center of excellence for the development and integration of AI, which transforms the state, business and society, strengthening the global competitiveness of Ukraine.

The center will introduce artificial intelligence into state processes and key spheres of life: defense, medicine, education and business. This is stated in the press release.

It is noted that the goal of the WINWIN AI CoE — to unite experts, resources and innovations for the development of AI and key areas of Ukrainian life.

Primarily, the center focuses on developing AI solutions for the state and defense sectors.

“This year we will actively integrate artificial intelligence into all our projects. The world is developing at a breakneck pace, and if we want to be among the leaders, we need to act just as quickly. Our goal in this direction is to enter the top 3 countries in the world by 2030 in terms of the level of integration and implementation of AI solutions,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.

AI will help improve state services for Ukrainian citizens and optimize the work of civil servants. We are talking about its integration into “Diya”, the educational application “Mriya”, the creation of tools for data analysis in the state, etc.

“Artificial intelligence can build individual educational trajectories for schoolchildren, automatically determine targets on the battlefield, diagnose diseases and increase the profitability of businesses. Our task is to find effective ways to use this technology in each of the areas, from education to public administration”, — added Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Oleksandr Bornyakov.

The main areas of the center's work are:

• development of AI products for the public sector and defense
• introduction of artificial intelligence into science
• creation of educational opportunities for AI specialists and citizens
• support for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in integrating AI
• cooperation with international technology companies (BigTech)

The Center has set itself the following goals for the year:

• Launch the development of AI products for the public sector
• Lay the technological foundation for the country's AI sovereignty with its own LLM model
• Generate AI solutions in the defense sector
