After That, this novel by Stephen King will be entitled to its adaptation

A few months ago, we shared with you this excellent news concerning the series on Pennywise, many fans being more than impatient to find the iconic clown of Ça. And more recently, we learned that another novel by Stephen King was also going to be entitled to its adaptation. We tell you everything.

A Fairy Tale adaptation in preparation?

Considered by many to be one of the masters of horror, Stephen King has made a name for himself around the world thanks to his novels, and in particular thanks to their film adaptations. We will think in particular of The Shining, but also of Ça, Misery, The Green Mile, and many others.

This is why many fans are impatient to see what will be the next works of the American writer to be adapted for our screens. The latest is none other than the film Salem's Lot, released on October 3 on Max (HBO's streaming platform).

And more recently, fans learned that another King novel was also going to be entitled to its adaptation, and this time it is Fairy Tale. As reported by Deadline, the book was initially supposed to be adapted into a film by Universal. But given that the novel is over 600 pages long, it seemed complicated to condense the plot into a single feature film.

It is finally the studio A24, known among other things for having produced Everything Everwhere All at Once or The Whale, who took over the project. The latter will finally see the light of day in the form of a series of ten episodes. Director Paul Greengrass, to whom we owe several films in the Jason Bourne franchise as well as Green Zone and Captain Phillips, who was originally supposed to direct the film, would still be involved in the series. He would notably be in charge of the screenplay alongside showrunner J.H. Wyman (Fringe, Almost Human).

Fairy Tale is a fantasy novel published in 2022 and available from us at Albin Michel editions. Its plot is presented as follows:

Fairy Tale is the magnificent and terrifying story of a 17-year-old boy who inherits keys that open onto a parallel universe where Good faces the overwhelming power of Evil.

A battle with a high stakes… for our world.
