A young girl embezzled volunteer money by posing as a soldier from the Lviv brigade

A young girl introduced herself as a soldier from the 80th Galician Brigade, based in Lviv, and together with an accomplice embezzled money collected at her request by a volunteer for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The incident was reported on Facebook by the commander of the 5th Company of the 80th ODShBr Andriy Sushko on the evening of January 31.

The story goes that in November a girl named Diana Andrusiv approached volunteer Tetyana Griza and introduced herself as a servicewoman of the 2nd Battalion of the 5th Company of the 80th ODShBr. She asked for help with money to purchase electronic warfare equipment.

The volunteer collected 112.5 thousand UAH and, at the request of Diana Andrusiv, transferred them to the card of Danylo Mashivsky, who later posted a supposedly report on the purchase of equipment, although the photo did not show a receipt for the purchase, but only an invoice for payment. After that, Diana Andrusiv again turned to Tetyana Griza with a request to raise money to help the 80th brigade.

«When I decided to organize the meeting, I was guided by the fact that she (Diana Andrusiv – ed.) is the niece of the husband of my good friend. This automatically inspired trust, and I had no suspicions,” the volunteer said on her page.

The volunteer’s posts about collecting aid for the fifth company were seen by the servicemen of this company, who informed their commander, Andriy Sushko.

«Since it was not known what kind of gathering it was, I asked my friends if someone had asked me to hold such a gathering. It turned out that no one knew such a volunteer, no one had asked anyone to hold such a gathering, no one had received such an electronic warfare device», – Andriy Sushko told on his page.

The military contacted Tetyana Griza, learned the name of the person who had asked her to hold the gathering, and found out that neither Diana Andrusiv nor Danylo Mashivskyi had ever had anything to do with the Galician Brigade. When the volunteer asked Diana Andrusiv for documents to confirm her involvement in military service, including a photo of her military ID, she was indignant that «she was attacked from all sides for one mistake», and disappeared from contact.

Andriy Sushko said that Diana Andrusiv's mother contacted him.

«A couple of days passed and Diana's mother, Lyudmila Komarnytska, wrote to me. She apologized for her daughter, talked about some “good intentions of Diana” and offered to give the money in order to somehow settle the situation, avoiding publicity and a criminal case. But realizing that such proposals do not work, because it is not only about money, but also about using someone else's name (both my company in particular and the brigade in general), she began to make veiled threats to me and the brigade, after which I ended that senseless conversation», – Andriy Sushko told.

Tetiana Griza, according to her, registered a statement with the police about the embezzlement of 112 thousand UAH by young people, and the money that she managed to collect during the second gathering – 61 thousand UAH, transferred to the official account of the 80th ODShBr, which was confirmed by Andriy Sushko.

Tetyana Griza also posted a photo of Diana Andrusiv and Danylo Mashivskyi and a photo that Diana Andrusiv called a report for the purchased electronic warfare equipment.

The invoice for payment states that the goods are sold by individual entrepreneur Volodymyr Moskovskikh, registered in the Kherson region. According to the service YouControl, the individual entrepreneur with such data was registered only three months ago. In addition, there is information that the car of a person with the same data is in the pawn of one of the banks in the Lviv region.

A person named Danylo Mashivskyi was registered as an individual entrepreneur in the village of Kozhychi, Yavoriv district, Lviv region four months ago. Diana Andrusiv is presumably a Lviv resident.
