The Podilskyi District Court of the Odessa region passed a verdict regarding a woman who, during martial law, distributed information about mobilization measures via social networks. She was sentenced to five years in prison with a probationary period.
News.LIVE learned about this from the materials of the Unified State Register of Pre-Trial Investigation.
It is known that the woman joined a public group on the Viber messenger, where she published data on the location of employees of territorial recruitment centers and checkpoints. In particular, she distributed messages that allowed her to avoid serving summonses. The group included over 3,800 people, mostly residents of the community where the mobilization events were held.
The accused pleaded guilty, explaining that she had acted to warn her friends and relatives. The court took into account her remorse, her cooperation with the investigation, and the fact that she was a single mother. Despite the gravity of the crime, which is classified as serious, the court sentenced her to five years in prison, replacing the actual serving of the sentence with a probationary period.
The court ruled to confiscate the mobile phone that was used to disseminate the information and to release the accused's property from arrest. The sentence provides for the possibility of reforming the woman without actual imprisonment.
