A woman from Volyn “lent” money to her friend via Telegram and lost 4 thousand hryvnias

In Volyn, a 19-year-old girl gave 4 thousand hryvnias to scammers. 

This was reported to the Kamin-Kashyrskyi district police department. 

The incident occurred on Thursday, December 26, at Kamin-Kashyrsky District. 

«A 19-year-old resident of the district applied to the Kamin-Kashyrsky District Police Office with a statement that an unknown person using the «Telegram» application, under the pretext of borrowing money, on behalf of an acquaintance (left a voice message) asked to transfer 4 thousand hryvnias to the card, which the applicant did. As it later turned out, the acquaintance's page was hacked and she did not ask for any money», the message says. 

Currently, the issue of entering information into the ERDR under Part 1 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine

«Dear residents of the district, before transferring money to anyone at the request of an SMS, call back and clarify whether this is really your acquaintance», – law enforcement officers appeal.
