A video is being distributed in Russia about the shooting down of Santa Claus' sleigh by Russian air defenses

A “New Year's” video clip is being distributed in the Russian segment of the Internet, in which a Russian air defense fighter shoots down Santa Claus's sleigh with a missile. Santa Claus approves of this act.

As Ukrinform reports, this is reported by Radio Liberty.

In the plot of the video, Santa Claus flies over New Year's Moscow in a sleigh pulled by reindeer, holding a can of Coca-Cola in his hand, in the sleigh – missiles with NATO emblems. Santa says with a strong accent: “Hello, Russians, here are your gifts!” In the next shot, a young air defense fighter shoots down a sled with a missile. Next to him sits a character in a Santa Claus costume, who declares: “That's right, we don't need anything foreign in our sky.”

Many social media users have drawn a connection between the content of the video and the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying to Grozny on December 25, when 38 people died. The airline called the preliminary cause of the crash “external action.” The media and social networks suggest that the plane could have been fired upon by Russian air defenses that were repelling an attack by Ukrainian drones in the Grozny area.

The authorship of the video is not indicated.
