Dresden, Germany, saw the debut of the robot conductor MAiRA Pro S last weekend. It lacks charisma or passion, but maintains a perfect rhythm.

Performances in Dresden aim to demonstrate the latest achievements of machine masters, as well as music written specifically for 21st century technology.< /p>

Artistic director of the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, Markus Rindt, said the intention was “not to replace people”, but to perform complex music that conductors find impossible.< /p>

The publication noted that the unusual concerts were dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Dresden Symphony Orchestra. During the concerts, the robot used three arms to beat the beat and still manage to reflect the dynamics.

MAiRA is the most advanced robot for conducting music, but it is not the first.
