A resident of Pokrovsk who searched for locations of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel for Russian Internet curators will appear in court

Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court on the fact of committing high treason against a citizen who in Pokrovsk searched for the Russian Ministry of Defense for the locations of the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine personnel.

This was reported by the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office.

It is known that in January 2024, an employee of one of the mines in the Pokrovsky district met a serviceman of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the Telegram messenger. During the conversation, the interlocutor suggested that the accused provide information for subversive activities against Ukraine.

“Having agreed to the offer, the resident of Pokrovsk began to proactively collect data for the curator on the location of Defense Forces units in the settlement. In text messages, the agent “leaked” the locations of the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine personnel, thus helping the enemy to harm Ukraine's defense capabilities,” the prosecutor's office said.

The man is awaiting a court verdict in custody.
