A resident of Kirovohrad region who called for the division of Ukraine received a suspended sentence

A resident of the Kirovohrad region who called for the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine received a one-year suspended sentence.

This is stated in the verdict of the Znam’yansk City District Court.

The investigation established that the offender created a profile on Telegram and used it to call for the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The woman wrote that the Western territories of Ukraine should be given to Poland, and Transcarpathia, according to her, never became part of Ukraine. The offender also repeatedly repeated the ideas of Russian propaganda. Law enforcement officers managed to record five cases where the perpetrator called for violating the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The accused fully admitted her guilt.

The court found the offender guilty under Part 1 of Article 110 (Intentional actions committed with the aim of changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine in violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine, as well as public appeals or distribution of materials with appeals to commit such actions) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced her to three years in prison. However, the court decided to release the perpetrator from serving her sentence and assigned her a one-year probationary period.
