A resident of Chortkiv region lost more than 23 thousand hryvnias when he tried to issue “Winter is Support”

Over 23 thousand hryvnias disappeared from the bank account of a resident of the Chortkivskyi district. The man applied for «Winter e-Support» from the President of Ukraine, and fell into a fraudulent trap.
The applicant said that on one of the Telegram channels he found a publication about the possibility of issuing a cash withdrawal. Having followed the link, he entered his electronic wallet details and all the necessary information for the fraudsters. As a result, instead of a notification about the deposit of funds, the man received a notification about the withdrawal of almost 24,000 hryvnias from his account. He turned to law enforcement for help.
The investigators of the territorial police division entered the information about the incident into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations in accordance with Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
