A repeatedly convicted resident of Kharkiv defrauded people wishing to evacuate of almost 48 thousand hryvnias.
The man deceived the victims via the Internet. This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Police.
The attacker lured the money for almost two months, starting in December. At least 12 people became his victims.
During the investigation, it was established that this was done by a man born in 1986. In addition to the sentences he had already served, he had another unexpunged criminal record.
The repeat offender posted fake offers on one of the websites to help take people and things out, including from the frontline zone. For this, he asked for 4 thousand hryvnias.
The attacker asked to pay the entire amount immediately. When he received the money, he stopped communicating and spent the money on his own needs. Now for this he can get up to eight years in prison.
