A Polish activist traveled 800 kilometers in support of the Ukrainian military

Polish activist Kasper Sienicki rode a bicycle from Warsaw to Independence Square in Kyiv to support Ukrainian soldiers in Russian captivity and raise funds for the rehabilitation of those released.

The cyclist covered more than 800 kilometers in rain and wind. This was announced by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

On the Maidan, Senitskyi was met by Ukrainian activists released from captivity, families of the Defenders, journalists and a representative of the Coordination Headquarters.

My friend spent a year in Russian captivity, so my motivation is also personal. He told me about the hunger and torture he endured, and I saw pictures of his injuries. No one should have to go through something like this. I want every defender of Ukraine to have confidence in a dignified return to everyday life with his loved ones, – said the Polish activist.

For seven days of travel, he collected almost 90 thousand hryvnias on his pages in social networks.

On the way, both Poles and Ukrainians helped me a lot, – says Kasper Sienitsky, – with support, advice, overnight stays. We are neighbors and we should be together to face the Russian threat.

The action “Chain of Solidarity” is aimed at supporting people who have recently returned or will soon return from captivity.
