In the modern world, fraudsters are constantly improving their methods of deception, taking advantage of the unstable economic situation and people's natural desire to improve their financial situation.
A new method of fraud has appeared in popular messengers like Telegram. Criminals are mass-sending fake job offers. They illegally use the names of well-known companies and contact details of potential victims obtained from stolen databases.
The fraud mechanism begins when a user responds to a vacancy and is redirected to a fake website. There, they are offered to create an account to perform tasks with the promise of earning money. However, to start working, they are required to either pay a commission or provide bank card details. The danger lies not only in the direct theft of funds – scammers also distribute malware, create phishing sites and collect personal data for further sale.
