A new data protection system has been implemented in the “Army+” application

The data protection system has been updated in the “Army+” application. Repeated user authorizations have also been removed there.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Defense.

The department explained that the application update contains cryptographic data encryption. This made it possible to cancel automatic logout of the profile for active users. Now, military personnel who log into the program at least once a month will not need to re-verify.

The developers have also added a new algorithm for automatically checking the status of military personnel. This will speed up the processing of authorization applications. The application will also soon store data for electronic reports, including the commander's “Army ID” and position title.

“We have received many comments and observations regarding the need for constant authorization in the application from our users. Thanks to cryptography technology, we have strengthened data security. And we no longer need to require repeated authorizations for active users,” said Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko.

“Army+” in Ukraine

The “Army+” application was developed by servicemen of the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions under the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It began operating in early August 2024.
