A man was detained in Mykolaiv who set fire to a transformer station on the orders of Internet curators from the Russian Federation

In Mykolaiv, the SBU and the National Police exposed another arsonist who was carrying out the orders of the Russian Federation.

The SBU Department in the Mykolaiv region reported this on Telegram.

“The Security Service and the National Police have detained another henchman of the Russian Federation who set fire to a transformer substation in the city of Mykolaiv,” the report says.

It is noted that the enemy henchman turned out to be a local resident who was looking for «easy money» on the Internet.

To carry out the enemy task, the person in question first located the «necessary» energy facility and purchased an incendiary mixture. After the «go-ahead» from the curator, the man set it on fire using a flammable mixture.

Then the attacker filmed the fire on his own phone camera for «reporting» to the Russians. After the arson of the transformer substation, law enforcement officers detained an enemy accomplice “on hot pursuit”.

During the searches, mobile phones, a bank card, as well as shoes and clothes in which he carried out the preparation and direct arson were seized from the suspect, the special service noted.

Currently, investigators of the Security Service have informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 113 of the Criminal Code (sabotage committed under martial law).

The perpetrator is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
