A drug gang that traded via the Internet was exposed in the Ternopil region

Law enforcement officers exposed the activities of an interregional criminal group that was engaged in the sale of drugs via the Internet.

A joint operation of the Ternopil region's drug crime department and their Khmelnytskyi colleagues allowed them to seize about 10 kg of narcotic substances, the cost of which on the «black» market reaches 6 million hryvnias.

The organizer of the scheme turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of Dnipro, who is being detained for the third time for similar crimes. He involved four accomplices in his illegal business, including a minor. The criminals sold cannabis, amphetamine, «PVP» and «MDMA» via the Telegram channel, using postal items and the «bookmarks» method. Every month, the group sold about 4,000 doses of drugs, which brought the organizer up to 2 million hryvnias in profit. During a large-scale special operation, carried out with the support of KORD fighters, 15 searches were carried out, during which narcotics, an AUDI car, mobile phones, bank cards and other evidence were seized. The perpetrators were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The court chose preventive measures: for the minor – 24-hour house arrest, and for the others – detention without bail. The investigation is ongoing.
