Zbigniew Ziobro's hearing is in a few weeks, if not months, at the earliest.

Zbigniew Ziobro to be questioned by the Pegasus Commission. The case could drag on for months

As the „Super Express” portal reminds, Zbigniew Ziobro has already been summoned before the Pegasus Commission several times. The closest the hearing came was on Friday, when the former head of the Ministry of Justice was led into the building by police, but the committee closed the session before Ziobro appeared in the chamber. It looks like the next such opportunity will not be until spring. Find out the details.

The committee wants to question Ziobro as soon as possible

During Friday's meeting of the Pegasus committee, its members voted on a motion for a 30-day arrest for Zbigniew Ziobro. The procedure is long. First, a motion to strip the politician of his immunity will go to Adam Bodnar's desk. Later, politicians sitting in the parliamentary benches will decide whether Ziobro will lose it. Only then will a motion for Ziobro's arrest go to court.

The members of parliament sitting on the Pegasus committee emphasize in interviews that they would like to question the former Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General as soon as possible. “We want to question him as soon as possible. I hope that we will be able to do it in March, and at the latest in April. If the court orders Ziobro's arrest, he will be at our disposal– convinces Witold Zembaczyński, quoted by the daily.

Michał Woś from Law and Justice indicates that in his opinion the committee is not about taking actual action, but about “making a circus”. However, it is not only politicians from Jarosław Kaczyński's party who are critical of the commission's actions.

The earliest spring

Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia emphasized in a conversation with the media that in his opinion the committee could have waited on Friday for the witness brought in by the police and questioned him. He emphasized that considering the application submitted by the committee would take weeks, if not months. This is of no use to anyone.

Zbigniew Ziobro does not hide the fact that he plans to leave the country in the near future. In a conversation with „Super Express” he revealed that he is going abroad, where he will continue his rehabilitation after the surgery he underwent a few months ago.
