How long to wait for the new Mass Effect shooter: developers shared disappointing news

It seems that we will have to wait quite a long time for the new Mass Effect. Michael Gamble, executive producer of BioWare and head of development of the upcoming game, clarified the status of the project on the social network X, responding to a message from one of the fans.

According to him, the game is still in the pre-production stage. Recall that the announcement of the game took place back in 2020 – then BioWare showed a short teaser trailer. Almost nothing is known about the game itself, as before.

The most optimistic forecasts suggest that the next Mass Effect should not be expected before 2028. BioWare's current policy is to make the game “one at a time”.

If we assume that the release of the new part will take place in 2028, then the break between the release of Mass Effect Andromeda and the next part will be 11 years. While the entire original trilogy of the legendary space opera was released with a time interval of only 6 years.
