The location of a lost item with a SmartCard tracker can be found through a special application for smartphones.

The KeySmart company presented a SmartCard wallet tracker as an alternative to Apple's AirTag trackers. This is written by the New Atlas portal.

SmartCard is reported to help locate lost items. The shape of the device resembles a credit card, so it is ideal for tracking wallets, passports and luggage.

The SmartCard tracker is managed through the Find My mobile application. If an item with a tracker is lost, through this app you can find out its location and also turn on an audio signal to help you find the thing.

“Suppose you accidentally go to work without your wallet. The app will send a notification to your iPhone or CarPlay so you can come back, get your credit cards and not be left without the ability to pay for your lunch,” — note in the publication.

Unlike AirTag, in which you need to change the battery, the SmartCard tracker can be recharged. To maintain the operation of the device, it is enough to put it on a wireless charger with Qi support approximately once every five months. At the same time, the SmartCard is almost 24% cheaper than the tracker from Apple.

The KeySmart  website says that the tracker is waterproof, so rain or falling into the pool will not disable it. The device can survive in water at a depth of 1 meter for up to 1 hour. The declared range of Bluetooth — approximately 60 meters.
